Look at how many more people have heard of Charlie Kirk now, and are speaking up so much about his faith and views. God is testing hearts over reactions to his assassination. It is written that those who approve of wrongful sin and crime are also guilty. (Rom 1:16-32) And just as Charlie Kirk was bold and courageous in his testimony of his genuine faith in the truth of the good news of Jesus Christ, he was also open about his support for Israel as a nation to be defended. Many Christians have been emboldened to speak openly about their faith, and we witnessed amazing testimony to that at his memorial service. Even though we may not have agreed with some of those given a platform to speak, and even though some of those who spoke live their lives in a compromising way to their testimony, nonetheless, as the apostle Paul did say, “Messiah/Christ is preached, and in this I rejoice, yes, and will rejoice”.
Millions of people listened in, and I have no doubt that the Holy Spirit is using that occasion to draw many towards the destination of repentance and faith in the truth of who Jesus Christ/Yeshua the Messiah is. I also believe that Satan is using it to stir up strong opposition towards that life-saving truth and faith, and especially targeting doubtful Christians and Jews, since spiritual opposition within the people of God has a very damaging effect on those who do believe, and on those who already have reservations about the righteousness of God in His choice of the Jewish people and nation, and of those Jews and Gentiles who have come to know God as their Father believing in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the same Person as Yeshua the Messiah (like Joseph with his Egyptian name, Zaphnath-Paaneah, was still the same son of Jacob, and brother of the rest of Jacob’s children).
Yesterday’s grand announcement by President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu at the White House was definitely significant, if not at all realistic, humanly speaking. Interestingly, Trump places himself as the “prince of eternal peace”, while upholding evil men and leaders as “good people”, giving them a place at the “table of decision”. Netanyahu closes his address to the press by quoting YHVH’s words to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob: “I will bless those who bless you, and curse him who curses you”. It is also written through the prophet Isaiah not to trust in men, whose breath is in his nostrils. Yet, the Jewish people and many Christians continue to do so, hoping that “this time” will actually be better. Hamas has still not officially responded to the deal as presented.
This deal has all the earmarks of the “strengthening of a covenant/treaty/alliance with many” as mentioned in Dan 9:27, a covenant with death from God’s perspective for his Jewish nation to accept. Yet, in His foreknowledge, He has told us well in advance that such a thing will happen. Praise the LORD that He will annul it in order to fulfill His covenantal promises of true and everlasting peace! (Is 28:14-22; Dan 11:20-39; 12:1-4)
This deal, if accepted just now or if not, will not fulfill the promise and oath of God as referred to by Zechariah — John the Baptizer’s father — at the birth of his son, the herald of the Messiah Yeshua to be born six months later: “…to grant us that we, being delivered from the hand of our enemies, might serve [YHVH God of Israel] without fear, in holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life.” (Lk 1:67-75) Nor does it deliver the promise of the covenant-keeping God to His chosen people that: “…everyone shall sit under his vine and under his fig tree, and no one shall make them afraid; for the mouth of YHVH of Hosts/Armies has spoken”. (Mic 4:1-7; Is 11) Truly, no more war forever! And this will be enjoyed by all persons throughout history who have placed their faith, hope, and love in the Sovereign Creator and Redeemer, who raises the dead! The deal presented leaves Israel always on guard against those who would make them afraid, and seek their destruction. Our war is not against flesh and blood, whom we would think would be willing to give up the constant fighting and destruction; but our war is against evil spirits who are truly “hell-bent” to deny anyone to have what they themselves covet, but cannot have.
Just as God has used Charlie Kirk, in his brief life, and even moreso through his violent death as a martyr, to embolden many Christians despite the dangers, so, too, I believe, that despite all of his own sins and unbelief till now in Yeshua, God is using Benjamin Netanyahu to embolden Jews, and also Christians, to encourage many to stand openly with Israel. A time of reckoning is coming for us all: Yeshua/Jesus said that those who are not against Him and His followers is on their side. (Mk 9:38-42) Nearer to the end, He sharpened the choice: those who are not with Me are against Me…. (Mt 12:30) There is a world-wide conspiracy — both within and without the household — against YHVH and His Anointed One. And the devil is the accuser of the brethren — whether physically, or through faith — of the Messiah, who is the Son of David, Son of Judah, Son of Jacob/Israel. He is the Savior given to His own people, and to the rest of mankind, who had to be killed by crucifixion in order to take our sins away so that the Father can forgive all who repent and believe not only that Yeshua died on the cross, but also rose bodily from the dead on the third day.
The last of the seven annual mo’edim/Appointed Times/Set Times of YHVH God to Israel are being observed now, with the Day of Atonements beginning tomorrow evening. The three “Fall Feasts” (but, I don’t think that Yom Zicharon Truah/Day of Memorial of Trumpet Blasts and Yom haKippurim/Day of Atonements would by any means be considered “feasts”) prophetically looking ahead to the ingathering and repentance of God’s chosen people, to their salvation and their enemies’ judgment on the Day of the LORD, and to the return of YHVH their King and Savior to tabernacle and dwell among His sanctified people who will be full of joy in their blessed Messiah. The Jubilee 50th year ([7×7] + 1) of the return to one’s temporary loss of inherited possession of property begins on the Day of Atonements. (Lev 25) The Feast of Tabernacles/Booths is fulfilled by the second coming of Jesus Christ. This year the Holy Spirit is stirring up a revival in the hearts and minds of those who have not forgotten the covenants He has cut/made with the descendants of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob/Israel.
Will You at this time restore the Kingdom to Israel, [sitting on David’s throne]? Before Yeshua ascended back to Heaven to sit on His Father’s throne, this was the reasonable question at that time by those who had walked with Yeshua for His 3 1/2 years of ministry. God will restore HIS kingdom to Israel, which Israel rejected when they asked for a king like the Gentiles have (Mt 6:9-10; Acts 1:1-11; 1Sam 8) His people will be holy, and YHVH will be their God. Israel will be the first actual Messianic/Christian nation! No more a remnant of believers under the rule of Christ/the Messiah – the appointed and anointed Prophet, High Priest, and King of kings – but the whole of the people and family of the redeemed and saved Israel of God, willingly under the rule of YHVH their holy God.
God working to towards that salvation of His chosen nation – Israel, and of grafting Jewish people back into their own olive tree; meanwhile bringing in many more non-Jews/Gentiles into the covenantal promises and hope of all the redeemed of the Father’s family and household (Rom 11:25-36; Eph 2:11-22)
I am certain that everyone reading this letter wants to see God judge and put away evil and those who have given themselves to do evil, or of approving it and them. At the same time, God says through Amos (whom He made a prophet): that woe to those who desire the Day of YHVH when He judges the wicked, but are not themselves living in a manner pleasing to Him. (Amos 5:18-24) He is speaking to His chosen and elect people first of all, where judgment begins. He who has the blessed hope of seeing and living with God purifies himself/herself, just as He is pure. (1Jn 3:1-6) The Bride sanctifies herself in cooperation with the Lord in her love and devotion for her Bridegroom (Eph 5:25-27;
Rev 2:18-29; 19:7-8)
The Kingdom of God is near, and so, therefore, is the final and fruit harvest. Our God and Savior is producing in us good and righteous and holy fruit, to His pleasure and glory! This the plan of redemption of the one true God, and He has laid it out for us through His appointed days and times that He has given to Israel. These days themselves are not mandatory to believers in Jesus, but they are nonetheless very valuable to better know and understand what He has brought you into, joining your destiny with the destiny of the hope of the fathers of Israel. Come, Lord Jesus!
