A PHYSICAL Temple to Come

1Cor 10:11   The Scriptures were written for us, upon whom the end of the ages has come, for our admonition.  Last days have been for 2000 years; we are now in the end-times of the last days.

These verses are all relevant for us living at the end of the ages, and all regard a physical structure of some sort and size:  (Rev 11: 1-13

Dan 9:26-27; 11:29-35   After Messiah comes (came), wars determined until the end – through the 70th week (last seven years); sacrifice and offering (the “daily”) will be ended by the antichrist, followed by the abomination that brings desolation, until the determined end to fulfill God’s redemption of Daniel’s people (the Jews) and their holy city (Jerusalem).

Dan 10 – 12 (Dan 7:25; 8:13-14,26; 12:7; Rev 12:14; Dt 32:36)  These are all part of one prophetic outlook, having to do with the last days and the time of the end, when the power of the holy people (Jews and disciples of Jesus) is broken by the pressure cooker of the “time times and half-a-time”/1260 days/42 months/3 ½ years of the great tribulation/ Jacob’s Trouble.

Dan 10:14   Daniel is given explanation of what will happen to his people (the Jews) in the latter days.

Dan 11:29 – 12:13   the falling away/apostacy, the Antichrist, the abomination of desolation, and the great tribulation/Jacob’s Trouble

Dan 12:11-13   at the time of the end, the daily sacrifice taken away by the AC

Mt 24:15-22   Yeshua tells us who read His words to read the Book of Daniel regarding the last days and the abomination of desolation, with all that is connected with that, including sacrifices – implying that there a physical structure of some sort and size where there is the daily sacrifice going on, before the AC stops them.

2Thes 2:1-12    The AoD (indicating that the sacrifices in a physical temple had been stopped) bringing about the circumstances leading to the destruction of the AC at the return of the Lord

Rev 11:1-3   a physical temple
Rev 13; Dan 9:27; 11:31, 36; 2Thes 2:1-5; Mt 24:15   the Antichrist and the abomination of desolation

None of these “things to come” have been full-filled yet!

The surrounding verses, chapters, explanations all look to the time of the end of the age, which Daniel, in particular, was first given to see and to receive an explanation. He was also told to shut and to seal the book until the time of the end, so it is more relevant to us now than it was even to him. The time of the end, I believe, began in earnest with the reestablishment of the State of Israel, setting up the possibility for the things written about to unfold and come to pass.

Yeshua/Jesus told us who read His own explanation of the end-times leading up to His return that we should read Daniel to know that the abomination of desolation was not done by Antiochus Epiphanes in times past, but is something far more blasphemous to take place at the onset of the great tribulation, at the mid-point of the final and 70th “week of Daniel”, the last seven years leading to Yeshua’s glorious return.

All of the verses are in a context for things still-to-come in full-fillment of all the details mentioned for the redemption of Daniel’s people — the Jews — and for their holy city — Jerusalem. (Dan 9:24-27; 10:14) When these things take place and are fulfilled, it will bring a blessing to the whole world, and life from the dead! (Rom 11:13-15
