As the “World Powers” prepare to give “this world” over to Iran and the Islamic powers with a very bad supposed agreement, it reminds me of how the devil got Adam and Eve to give their God-given stewardship over to him by lying and deceit. Israel followed suit, and gave her God-given beauty over to Gentile ‘lovers’; and the Church has left its domain to mix with worldly aspirations. Where would we all be if Jesus was not the Sovereign LORD of things in Heaven and things on Earth!? (Mt 28:18-20; Eph 1:17-23)
On this day that YHVH (the LORD) has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it! Today, Resurrection Sonday, the world’s attention is being drawn to the celebration of believers in Jesus that He, who died on the Passover, rose from the dead on the day after the Sabbath, on day one of a new week. The eternal Son of God took on the weakness of flesh and blood as the Son of Man, and in His death on the cross and His resurrection, He defeated the devil, sin, and death: there is no “thing” that can succeed in opposing the sovereign will of the Everlasting God in bringing to pass His full redemption for His covenanted people Israel, and for all others who put their faith and hope in Him. The true God is faithful to His covenantal agreements even when others are not.
Jesus has told us beforehand (Mt 24:25) things which must be prior to His coming again in great power and glory to judge the nations and to bring in everlasting righteousness, establishing forever the Kingdom of God, whose kingdom will not pass away! (Dan 9:24; Dan 7:11-18)
Let the kingdoms of this world do what they may; let all the havoc come that most normal people would dread; yet YEHOVAH and His Messiah/Christ/Anointed One will reign supreme. In His great love and mercy, He still extends His goodwill and grace to those who foolishly conspire against Him and His people: “Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish in the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.” (Ps 2; Rev 6:12-17)
Thanking and praising the Living God that Jesus Christ died and rose again! Even so, come, Lord Jesus!

Subject: GREAT TO SEE YOU BOTH!
It was good to catch up with you both so soon again – another of God’s ‘God-incidences’ I think! You said something at one of our recent meetings that rang an immediate chord: that the Muslims have no father, whereas the father of the Arabs is Abraham/Ishmael. I have always understood that every Arab is a Muslim, whereas not every Muslim is an Arab. Could you enlighten me as to which nations are Arab (such as Egypt) as against those that are non-Arab Muslim (such as Iran)?
Finally, in the DVD of the Nachalat Yeshua fellowship that we saw at the Conference last month you mentioned that you use leavened bread at Communion to remind everyone that Jesus was our sin-bearer – our sin-offering. As I come from another persuasion, I wonder whether you would be willing to have an email dialogue with me on this subject? (Iron sharpening iron always seems a good idea!).
Blessings in Messiah,

Much ‘blood has been spilled’ over the outcry of the “all the [Israeli Jewish] people”to Pontius Pilate washing his hands wishing to be “innocent of the blood of this just man”: “His blood be on us and on our children!” (Mt 27:24-25; Acts 5:28; Dt 19:10)
In the sovereignty and wisdom of God, and by inspiration of the Holy Spirit, this Scripture is full of life and death, for “death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit”. (Pr 18:21) This publicly spoken word by the rulers and the common people had consequences which were not understood or foreseen when rashly uttered. (Acts 5:28) When Adam disobeyed God in the Garden of Eden, he had no idea really of what he was doing and the dreadful consequences of his action – that in him all future human beings would be starting out in life as sinners and dying! Today is Passover in Israel. Most Jewish people around the world remember that YHVH delivered His people Israel out of slavery in Egypt to bring them liberty to serve Him in the promised Land of Canaan.
Beyond that, though, YHVH demonstrated by His great power that He alone is the one true God. He defeated all the gods of Egypt, and showed Pharoah and the people that none of their so-called gods can compare with YEHOVAH, the Creator of the Heavens and Earth, and the Redeemer and Deliverer of His people out from the nations! Jesus Christ has been given all authority by the Father — by virtue of His crucifixion and resurrection from among the dead — of things in Heaven, things on the Earth, things under the Earth and in the seas. Jesus Christ is LORD! The Lamb of God is risen indeed! Continue reading “DOMINION – 19 Apr 2011”
This is a telling of the Passover that I wrote as a fairly young believer, which tells the story with the past, present, and future of Passover in view. We use it in our family and in our congregation, drawing out abiding truth each year. You are free to use it, download it, distribute it. . .for free. It is not to be used for any monetary gain to you or to me or to any other party.
The one true living God has left His witness in every place, including in His sovereignty over times and nature. The universe at large, and our unique solar system set within it, both bear witness to His Godhead and plans, to His times and His seasons. (Gen 1:1-19; 8:22; Ps 19:1-6; Jer 31:35-37; 33:25-26)
The ‘modern’ calendar for the whole world till now is centered around the person of Jesus Christ (Messiah Yeshua). The all-encompassing “creative” year begins in Winter around the season of His birth into the world and His circumcision, testifying to Him being the first-born of creation, and of coming in the flesh as a Jew. (Col 1:15-17; Lk 2:21-24) The “redemptive” year — which YHVH gave to Israel for a testimony — is set within the overall created order, and begins in the Spring, during the season of Yeshua’s death and resurrection, upon which foundation our salvation is grounded through faith. This newness of life which the Spring proclaims testifies to Yeshua being the first-fruits from among the dead (1Cor 15:12-23).
As the birth of Messiah came during the darkest and bleakest time of year, He also came as the Light of the world, with each day increasing its light in the hope of a ‘better and cheerful Spring’.
The believer in Jesus can rejoice in all of God’s wonderful works, from the beginning of the year through to the end. His Word and His Spirit have given us to know and understand the times in which we live, and the signs of His coming.
Glory to God in the highest, and on Earth peace, goodwill toward men! This is still the acceptable year of the LORD; Today, if you will hear His voice, is the day of salvation!
