The name Shevet Achim is taken from the Hebrew of Psalm 133, 'How good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell
together in unity....' "Shevet Achim was founded in 1994 with the purpose of helping non-Israeli children receive
lifesaving medical care in Israel." "Many of our staff have heard the call to 'Sell all that you have, give
to the poor, and follow me.' "
